MPO Polarity Standards
ANSI/TIA 568-3.D defines three polarity methods for multi-fiber array systems:
- Method A: Straight-through (pin 1 to pin 1) using key-up to key-down MPO connectors
- Method B: Crossover (pin 1 to pin 12) using key-up to key-up MPO connectors
- Method C: Flipped pairs (pin 1 to pin 2) using key-up to key-down MPO connectors (no 40-/100-GbE migration path)
