PC Multimode Simplex / Duplex 0.9 / 2.0 / 3.0mm LC Fiber Optic Connector
The LC connector, developed by New Light Optics Technologies, represents an evolutionary approach to achieving SFF (small form factor) connector goals. It utilizes traditional SC duplex connector components with ceramic ferrules and housings scaled down by half for compact performance.
Connector Overview
The LC connector family includes simplex designs and duplex connectors available in both single mode and multimode tolerances, all featuring RJ-style latch mechanisms for secure connections.

Angled Polish Considerations
Angle-polished connectors (APC) must only mate with other angle-polished connectors to prevent high insertion loss. These connectors feature green strain relief boots or green connector bodies and provide superior return loss performance compared to UPC connectors.
Return loss specifications: APC connectors exceed -65 dB when mated, while UPC connectors typically achieve -55 dB. Unmated APC connectors maintain -65 dB return loss, significantly better than unmated UPC connectors at approximately 14 dB.
