Product Description
MTP® Assemblies fiber jumper specifically designed for laser optimized 40G/100G structured cabling systems employing parallel optics transmission.
For 40G Ethernet, 4Tx and 4Rx fibers are transmitted at 10G for an aggregate of 40G using a 12-fiber MTP® connector. For 100G Ethernet, 10Tx and 10Rx fibers are transmitted at 10G for an aggregate of 100G using a 24-fiber MTP® connector. Alternatively, 100G can utilize two 12-fiber MTP® connectors, though the single port 24-fiber connector is the preferred approach.

Important Note
When using breakout optical fiber, insert the X1 end into a 40GE QSFP+ optical module and the X2 end into four 10GE interfaces. If the 40GE interface is Down but the four 10GE interfaces are Up, check the 40GE interface status. Verify that the 40GE interface supports the breakout function and is configured in the breakout state.
