- Position collet on cable, making sure collet heaves mate with split insert carrier slots
- Assemble insulator subassembly, split insert carrier, and collet into outer shell in sequence, ensuring carrier heaves align with outer shell slots
- Tighten collet nut securely
- Attach sleeve to corresponding step of collet nut
