Operating Principles
The Ultra Shape Power system offers a unique solution for non-invasive ultrasonic body contouring, based on a state-of-the-art application of focused ultrasound, monitored by real-time video camera imagery. The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis with no requirements of operating facilities or down-time.
The Ultra Shape Power system's approach to body contouring is based on its technology of:
- Focused ultrasound, delivered by a proprietary ultrasound transducer.
- Parameters that allow ultrasound energy to penetrate the skin and be concentrated within the subcutaneous fat, using a proprietary technology which enables controlling the acoustic field distribution.

SAFETY AND REGULATORY INFORMATION
Intended Use
The Ultra Shape Power system uses focused ultrasound to produce localized mechanical motion within fat tissues and cells, for the purpose of producing mechanical cellular membrane disruption. It is intended for non-invasive aesthetic body contouring.
Intended Users
The intended users for patient treatment are physicians and other qualified health care professionals operating under the supervision of a physician.
Treating Attendant
Personnel should not operate the system until they have been fully trained in its Use.
Assessed Body Areas
The safety and efficacy of the Ultra Shape Power system have been assessed and demonstrated for body contouring of the abdomen.
Prerequisites for Treatment
The Ultra Shape Power is intended for use on patients of sound health, aged 18 years or older, with subcutaneous fat thickness of at least 1.5 cm (assessed by pinch test or commercial skin fold caliper) in the intended treatment area (abdomen, outer thighs, or flanks) prior to strapping. After strapping, the distance between the skin surface and the focal point of treatment should be verified to be at least 2.5 cm.
Caution
After marking the treatment area and positioning the patient on the treatment bed, the operator should confirm that the fat thickness in the marked treatment area is at least 1.5 cm before strapping and at least 2.5 cm after strapping.
Inclusion Criteria
- Female and male subjects, > 18 and < 65 years of age at the time of enrolment.
- Abdominal fat thickness of at least 1.5 cm prior to the initial treatment (measurement by caliper) prior to strapping,andatleast2.5cmafterstrapping.
- General good health, confirmed by medical history and skin examination of the treated area.
- BMI ≤ 30
- For women of child-bearing potential,negative pregnancy test 24 hours priorto the first treatment (measured in urine)
