Material Characteristics
High-strength aluminum alloy with excellent heat treatment response. Features medium plasticity in quenched and tempered condition, good spot welding capability, and excellent machinability after quenching and cold work hardening.
Temper Options
- T6 or T852: High tensile strength and yield point, good ductility and machinability, excellent forging performance
- Temper F: Suitable for large cross-section forgings, provides high strength with minimal distortion
