Theory

A current sensor is a device that detects electric current in a wire, and generates a signal proportional to that current. The generated signal could be analog voltage or current or even a digital output. The generated signal can be then used to display the measured current in an ammeter, or can be stored for further analysis in a data acquisition system, or can be used for the purpose of control.

The sensed current and the output signal can be:

Alternating current input, analog output, which duplicates the wave shape of the sensed current. bipolar output, which duplicates the wave shape of the sensed current. unipolar output, which is proportional to the average or RMS value of the sensed current.

The model Q20B mini AC split core current sensor is suitable for 100A cable online measurement, the user friendly shape make It easily clamp onto cables or bus bars.

The Q20B AC Current sensor is designed for easy installed in tight spaces and without the need for dismantling the primary busbar or cables. The sensing head uses sliding push-fit clamp structure, safety isolation to avoid the user to contact with charged objects directly. It complies with CE standards and meets 600V CAT III safety class.

The Amprobe Q20B current clamp probe measures AC or DC current without touching or interrupting the circuit. The clamp has two jaws that fit around a 1.0" (20 mm) conductor to convert a high-current signal to a low-level millivolt signal so it can be read by a testing device.

Three precision dual range current clamps (20 A/200 A) for secondary current transformer applications.... GFUVE Set of 3 20 A/200 A Current Clamps Expand the capabilities of the GFUVE GF438II and GF312V2 Series Loggers with the dual-range 20 A/200 A

GFUVE Current transformer clamp meters are equipped with rigid jaws of made of ferrite iron. The jaws are individually wrapped by coils of copper wire. Together, they form a magnetic core during measurements. Their basic operation is like that of a transformer. It works with one primary turn, or winding, which in nearly all cases is the conductor .
