Solar Panel Mesh Clips

Solar clips are used to secure wire mesh to solar panels. The number of clips needed will depend on the number of solar panels. The clip is designed to protect the integrity of expensive solar arrays. The clips don’t pierce the solar panels and will firmly hold wire mesh screen to the module assembly preventing squirrels and rodents from damaging the interconnection wires and birds from building nests under the solar panel. The clips can be ordered separately, not necessary to bound with the mesh together.

Clip Introduction

The clips don’t pierce the solar panels and will firmly hold wire mesh screen to the module assembly preventing squirrels and rodents from damaging the interconnection wires and birds from building nests under the solar panel.The clips can be ordered separately, not necessary to bound with the mesh together.

QTY used for installation:

The number of clips needed will depend on the solar panel system, below are the regular QTY.

The QTY needed for one solar panel: A typical solar panel is approximately 1.6m tall and 1m wide, on a typical panel one should use 3 clips on each long edge and 2 clips on each short edge.

The QTY needed for one roll: usually the length of solar panel roll is 30m, each roll is allocated with 60 clips.

The QTY needed for a standard 3kW system (2 rows of 6 panels each - 12 panels total installed in a portrait orientation) : 35 clips.

The distance between the clips: when install the mesh, we clips every 18 inches/450mm.

Usage:

Slide the speed washer onto the shaft of the clip assembly until snug.Tighten speed washer to panel edge to immobilize the mesh. Cut of the clip assembly rod flush with the exterior of the speed washer by cutter.
