What is 317L ?
Stainless Steel 317L Welded Pipes is a molybdenum bearing, low carbon content “L” grade austenitic stainless steel that provides improved corrosion resistance over 304L and 316L stainless steels. In addition, SS 317L Welded Tubes offers higher creep, stress-to-rupture, and tensile strength at elevated temperatures than conventional stainless steels. The increased levels of chromium, nickel and molybdenum content in SS 317L EFW Pipes over SS 316L improve chloride pitting resistance and general corrosion. SS 317L ERW Pipes provides good oxidation resistance in intermittent service to 1600 Degree F and in continuous service to 1700 Degree F.
