LinkedIn is global professional social networking site with more than 500 million members.
Founded in 2002, LinkedIn is the world’s largest social network on the Internet. Up to now, the number of registered users exceeds 500 million and continues to grow. In 2014, LinkedIn's Chinese name “Lingying” entered the Chinese market. In June 2016, it was acquired by Microsoft and became a wholly owned subsidiary of Microsoft Inc.

LinkedIn accounts are divided into company accounts and personal accounts. Company accounts can publish corporate dynamics; personal accounts can publish information about their own employment companies, education, professional skills, etc. Individuals can “join” the company and become employees. Corporate employees generally use LinkedIn to find opportunities for cooperation and individuals can use the platform to meet more interested professionals, learn skills as well as develop business.
