Product Overview
ISO 12956 Geotextile Effective Aperture Tester using the wet-sieving principle for determining the apparent opening size of geotextiles and geotextile-related products.
Application
This hydrodynamic sieve test apparatus determines the apparent opening size of single-layer geotextiles using the wet-sieving principle. A quantity of graded glass beads is placed on the geotextile surface and washed through with water. The geotextile acts as a sieve, and the graded glass beads that pass through are analyzed. The characteristic opening size (O90) corresponds to a specified size of the graded glass beads passed (d90).
