Product Overview
This testing instrument quickly evaluates how easily fabrics snag under normal wearing conditions, specifically measuring the tendency for yarns to be hooked out of the fabric structure.
Testing Principle
A cylindrical fabric sample is mounted on a rotating cylinder with a chain-hung hammer placed on its surface. As the cylinder rotates at constant speed, the hammer randomly turns and jumps across the sample surface, creating hooks in the fabric. After completing a specified number of revolutions, the sample's snagging degree is rated by comparison with standard reference samples.
