HRM-45DT Electric Superficial Rockwell Hardness Tester Metal Hardness Tester is a semi-automatic Rockwell hardness tester that tests the surface hardness of metal materials through electric loading and unloading. It has the characteristics of easier operation, small indentation and high precision.

Surface hardened steel, copper, aluminum alloy sheet, strip steel, hard alloy steel, galvanized, chrome-plated, tin-plated, material surface heat treatment and chemical surface treatment of various metal materials.

A hardness test is typically performed by pressing a specifically dimensioned and loaded object (indenter) into the surface of the material you are testing. The hardness is determined by measuring the depth of indenter penetration or by measuring the size of the impression left by an indenter.
The Rockwell hardness number is calculated from the depth of permanent deformation of the indenter into the sample, i.e. the difference in indenter position before and after application of the major load. The minor and major loads can be applied using dead weights or springs.
