Product Description
EN 149 Mask Bacteria Filtration Efficiency Tester, BFE PEE Bacteria Testing Machine
Product Overview

The Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE) detector is a specialized instrument designed to test the ability of samples such as masks to filter out bacterial particles under specified conditions. This instrument primarily references YY0469-2011 "Technical Requirements for Medical Surgical Masks" Appendix B "Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE) Test Method" and incorporates innovative improvements using dual gas paths for simultaneous sampling comparison, significantly enhancing sampling accuracy.

This instrument is suitable for metrological verification departments, third-party testing laboratories, textile industry applications, and fiber raw material industries.

Related Terms

Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE): Under specified conditions, the efficiency of the tested sample to filter out bacteria-containing particles, expressed as a percentage.

Tested Samples: Masks, textiles, fiber raw materials, and other physical barriers that prevent the direct penetration of pathogenic microorganisms, body fluids, particulate matter, etc.

Working Principle

A controlled concentration of bacterial aerosol is generated upstream of the test sample. After entering the aerosol chamber and mixing evenly, the bacterial aerosol flows into two parallel gas path sampling systems. One path includes the test sample at the sampler's upper end, while the other serves as a positive control without the sample. By calculating the ratio between the positive control value and the sample test value as the leak rate, the filtration efficiency is determined.
