The rotary drum granulator is a specialized machine designed to transform materials into spherical pellets through wet granulation technology. This equipment is essential for compound fertilizer production, utilizing advanced principles to create uniform, high-quality granules.
Working Principles
The rotary drum granulator operates on wet granulation principles. Materials such as steam, gaseous ammonia, phosphoric acid, ammoniacal solution, ammonium phosphate slurry, and triple superphosphate slurry are introduced into the rotating drum. Through the combined effects of gravity, centrifugal force, and friction, these materials undergo reciprocating movement.
As the drum rotates, materials are sprayed onto granulation nuclei, forming progressively thicker coating layers until they reach the desired dimensions. The finished granules are then discharged through the outlet, completing the granulation process.
