Rotary drum granulator is a molding machine that can manufacture materials into specific shapes. The barrel is made of a special rubber sheet lining or acid-resistant stainless steel lining, eliminating the traditional scraper unit.
The rotary drum granulator is filled with steam, gaseous ammonia, phosphoric acid, nitrogen solution, phosphorus ammonia slurry, or heavy calcium slurry. It completes chemical compounding and heating compound fertilizer granulation processes in the cylinder, or the cold granulation process of compound fertilizer supplemented with a small amount of water. Materials granulate through the rotating motion of the cylinder and condense into balls under specific humidity and temperature conditions to complete the ball making process.
This equipment is commonly used for compound fertilizer granulation and is mainly employed in the production of NPK compound fertilizer, heavy superphosphate (TSP), monoammonium phosphate (MAP), diammonium phosphate (DAP), and other products.
The interior of the rotary drum granulator consists of a granulating area, blanking area, steam nozzle, annular baffle, and other components. During compound fertilizer production, steam and ammonia are sprayed onto the rolling material layer inside the barrel.
Powder material is extruded and rolled through the barrel's rotation, forming micro-granular nuclei that eventually agglomerate into granules. The granulation effect of the drum granulator directly impacts the material's granulation rate and product quality.
