1. Applications

 

The measurement principle of a fluorescence dissolved oxygen sensor is based on fluorescence lifetime technology. In this method, a specific fluorescent material is employed that exhibits changes in fluorescence intensity in response to variations in the concentration of dissolved oxygen in the surrounding environment. When exposed to excitation light, the fluorescent material emits light, and the fluorescence lifetime is influenced by the presence of oxygen molecules.As dissolved oxygen interacts with the fluorescent material, it quenches the fluorescence, meaning the duration of fluorescence emission changes. By measuring the fluorescence lifetime, the sensor can accurately determine the concentration of dissolved oxygen in the medium. This technology allows for precise and reliable measurements without the need for direct contact with the sample, providing a non-intrusive and efficient method for monitoring dissolved oxygen levels in various applications, including environmental monitoring and industrial processes.
