Description
Aprico Nutshell Granulated Activated Carbon (GAC) can be used for water purification.
The products are made from high quality raw materials like Coconut shell, apricot nutshell and walnut shell, and are designedly producted by drying, charring and high temperature steam activating. Characterized by large specific surface area, strong adsorption power, high mechanical strength, and varieties of sizes, they are widely used in air purification, catalyst carrier, extraction of noble metal, solvent recovery and decolorization of medicines, especially in treatment of industrial and drinking water.
1.) Carbonization: Material with carbon content is pyrolyzed at temperatures in the range of 600–900 °C, in absence of oxygen (usually in inert atmosphere with gases like argon or nitrogen)
2.) Activation/ Oxidation: Raw material or carbonised material is exposed to oxidizing atmospheres (carbon monoxide, oxygen, or steam) at temperatures above 250 °C, usually in the temperature range of 600–1200 °C. The product is also designed to comply with all the applicable provision of ASTM standard for coconut activated carbon.
Application
Except for the mentioned above all, to meet customer's special requirement, the above listed coconut shell type carbons can be specially reeatedand made into activated carbon Permeated silver, Catalyst Support activated carbon for Vinyl Acetate Synthesis, Activated Carbon for Gold Recovery, etc.

Analysis Method: Analysis of the product according to the requirements of GB/T7702-2008, foreign standard reference ASTM STANDARD FOR ACTIVATED CARBON & AWWA STANDARD FOR ACTIVATED CARBON and so on.
