RO Working Principle

With higher pressure than that of solution osmotic pressure, the RO meberance seperate water with saline.
Because the aperture of RO membrance is very tiny, it's diameter is about 0.00001μm, in this case water can go through the special RO mebrance but other materials can't . We can get pure water, ultra-pure water to meet differents demands in different lines, different users with RO treatment plant.

The solute is retained on the pressurized side of the membrane and the pure solvent is allowed to pass to the other side. To be "selective", this membrane should not allow large molecules or ions through the pores (holes), but should allow smaller components of the solution (such as solvent molecules) to pass freely.
