Utility Ferritic 3Cr12 Hot Rolled Stainless Steel Sheets, Plates

3CR12 is a low cost utility stainless steel providing benefits of strength, corrosion and abrasion resistance,

durability and low maintenance. 3CR12 is similar to grade 409 and grade 410S (nominally 12% chromium)

so it exhibits similar corrosion resistance properties, and has many advantages in terms of fabrication

and mechanical properties.

The utility ferritics have also found widespread use in wet sliding abrasion conditions and in aqueous 

environments involving exposure and/or immersion. The applications include materials handling (bulk

handling, coal, sugar, agriculture, abattoirs), road transport (passenger vehicles, coaches and buses, trucks,

freight and utility vehicles), rail transport (freight, passenger rail, light rail, rail infrastructure), petrochemicals

and chemical, power generation, telecommunication cabinets and electrical enclosures and water and sewage treatment.
