The ceramic vacuum relay is a ceramic vacuum seal that isolates the contact point seal of the relay from the outside air to obtain a high withstand voltage for high-voltage circuits. The vacuum seal makes the relay less prone to arcing. Under ideal conditions, the vacuum is likely to reach a dielectric strength of 10000V per 0.1 mm. Additionally, since there is no air, the contacts in the vacuum are not oxidized, resulting in small and stable contact resistance.

Particularly suitable for use in RF applications. A typical ceramic vacuum relay consists of four basic parts:

• Sealed arc extinguishing chamber with contact points for high pressure resistance
• Armature mechanism that moves the movable contact
• Powered coil section
