1. Product Description of Brown Fused Alumina

Brown fused alumina(BFA) is made by high-quality bauxite,coke(anthracite) as main raw materials, melting in an electric arc furnace at a temperature over 2200℃,then made into different grain size through cooling crystallization, sort, crush, magnetic separation , screen size, blow cleaning etc..

Its main chemical composition is AL2O3 which is over 95%, it has the characteristics of high hardness,great toughness and sharpness.

4. Why brown fused alumina is the common blasting media?

    High hardness and Fast-cutting force

Brown fused alumina is an extremely aggressive and hard abrasive,its high bulk density,sharp shape and high hardness gives it an aggressiveness, which is able to provide a clean,fast-cutting force,therefore it is usually used as an blasting media;

Recyclablity

Brown fused alumina is able to recycled up to more than seven times benefiting from its high toughness and low friability. When brown fused alumina hits the treatment surface,it will not be shattered completely,meanwhile it will maintain its relative shape and provide a new sharpness. That is why it is suitable for blasting media.

    No Ferrous contamination

Brown Fused Alumina contains more than 95% AL2O3,it will not rust the treatment suface,so it is widly used in blasting the non ferrous surface.
