Product Description
The fundamental concept behind a permanent magnet generator is that the rotor is equipped with permanent magnet materials which create a stable and continuous magnetic field. This magnetic field remains constant as the rotor spins.
When a prime mover, such as a wind turbine, water turbine, or an engine, causes the rotor to rotate, the magnetic field produced by the permanent magnets moves relative to the stator windings. As the magnetic field rotates, it cuts through the conductors in the stator.
Following the law of electromagnetic induction, this motion induces an electromotive force (EMF) within the stator windings. When an external load is connected to the generator, this EMF drives an electric current, thus generating electrical power that can be used in various applications.
