LXS Aluminium Conductor Aerial Bundled Cable 3×70+54.6+16 mm² 0.6/1kV ABC cable NP 3528/ NF C 33-209
LXS ABC cable is a low-voltage aerial bundled conductor manufactured to NFC33-209 and NP 3528 standards, widely specified by EDP and other Portuguese-utility projects. Rated 0.6/1 kV, this cable replaces traditional bare twisted open-wire lines, reducing fault rates from tree contact, wind-induced phase-to-phase shorts, and theft. The self-supporting design eliminates the need for separate messenger wire, simplifying pole-to-pole installation.
Applications:
Primary and secondary low-voltage overhead distribution networks; rural electrification and agricultural supply where underground cabling is cost-prohibitive; street-lighting circuits fed from the same aerial span; coastal and high-humidity regions requiring corrosion-resistant aerial conductors; orchard and plantation areas where vegetation management makes bare conductor unsafe.
