Titanium Ti Gr5 is the most widely used titanium alloy, has good hot forming properties, and is easy to weld. Below 300°C, the fifth grade titanium also has corrosion resistance to seawater, marine atmosphere and various corrosive media

1. High specific strength: the ratio of material tensile strength to density. The tensile strength of titanium alloy is equivalent to that of general high-strength structural steel, but the density of titanium is 4.5g/cm3, which is only about 60% of steel.

2. Good corrosion resistance: Titanium will form an oxide film (TiO2, Ti2O3, TiO) with high stability and strong adhesion on the surface at room temperature, and can be regenerated immediately after damage, so titanium has excellent corrosion resistance properties. Commonly used in chemical tanks, plate and tube heat exchangers.

3. Low elastic modulus: only about 1/2 of steel, and high yield strength, can be used for springs, golf heads, etc. The report pointed out that changing the ball head to titanium alloy can increase the hitting distance of players by an average of 20%.
