Competitive Advantage:

The surface hardness of TC4 itself is not high, HRC30. However, the heat during processing will oxidize, nitride and carbonize the surface of the material. A mixed skin of titanium monoxide, titanium dioxide, titanium trioxide, titanium carbide and titanium nitride is formed. Among them, titanium carbide is an important part of cemented carbide, and its hardness is comparable to that of cutting tools; titanium nitride is a wear-resistant material, and its hardness is not low, which is often used for gold coating of ornaments; titanium dioxide is one of the glazes in ceramic firing. The hardness is not low (Mohs hardness is 7, 45 steel is only 5.5. Mohs hardness is a measurement method for gems, ores, glass, etc. that are not easy to plastic deformation. Titanium alloys have low thermal conductivity and poor heat transfer performance. The surface hardness of Tc4 itself is not a problem, and it looks very easy to process, but the temperature will rise if you are not careful during processing.
