Competitive Advantage:
The surface hardness of TC4 itself is not high, HRC30. However, the heat during processing will oxidize, nitride and carbonize the surface of the material. A mixed skin of titanium monoxide, titanium dioxide, titanium trioxide, titanium carbide and titanium nitride is formed.
