What is EN81-20 stndard?
EN81-20 New Euro Standard means requirements (for elevator door detector)
1. detecting height range: the lowest≤20mm, the highest≥1600mm.
2. minimum obstructions 50mm, the distance of diode sets must less than 50mm.
3. When distance of door detectors less than 20mm, it allows to be invalid.
 
Design of door detector (Solution)
1. range of diodes less than 47mm, the number of diodes should be at least 35 or more than 35
2. lowest detecting point:17mm
3. higest detecting point:17+47*34=1615mm. (take 35 diode sets as example)
4. detecting range is 0—4m
5. continuous detectable minimum obstructions is 50mm
 
 
Does WECO elevator light curtain compliant to EN81- 20 standard?
The answer of courer is YES. The light curtain witht no less than 36 diodes is compliant to EN81-20 Standard.

 
Difference between 957Series and 987 Series is:
987series elevator light curtain has fault output signal function.
