The sealing device is divided into three types according to the structure: contact type, piston ring type and labyrinth type. Piston ring seals are commonly used in small boosters as an oil seal. There are y types of labyrinth seals, axial and radial labyrinth seal for the turbocharger used as a gas seal. The smaller the gap between the gas seal sheets, the better the sealing effect. When a pressurized air is introduced from the compressor end to the gas seal, the sealing effect is enhanced.
