About 2711P-RN8
The 2711P-RN8 module is a DH+ communication module for 400 and 600 series terminals from the PanelView Plus product range. DH+ network technology is designed for industrial applications. It is an easy-to-implement network technology which enables simple communication between computers, PLCs, and SLCs. The recommended cable for use with connections with SLC-5/04 controllers is shielded twisted cable like the 1770-CD cable. The recommended cable for connections with PLC-5, PLC-5C, and PLC-5E controllers is shielded twisted cable (like the 1770-CD). The recommended cable for connections with ContolLogix controllers like the 2711P-RN8 module is shielded twisted cable (like the 1770-CD). The 1770-CD cable can be ordered from in 30.5-meter (100-foot) increments.
The 1770-CD cable is a Belden 9463 twin axial cable which has conductor material that is 20 AWG tinned copper with a 0.038-inch diameter, 2 conductors that are used for cable construction, a cable capacitance of 19.7 pF/foot, a cable nominal inductance of 0.12 uH/foot, a cable impedance of 78 Ohms, and the cable attenuation at 1, 10, 50, 100, 200, and 400 MHz is 0.6, 2.1, 5, 7.5, 11, and 16 dB/100 meters, respectively. The weight of the cable is 36 pounds per 1000 feet. The maximum recommended pulling tension is 48 pounds and the minimum bend radius is 2.4 inches.
