Asphalt tanks heating source was from electric tubes, which heated thermal oil through serpentine heating coils, transferring heat to asphalt stored inside the tank.
They are used at hot mix asphalt plants, asphalt terminals, and asphalt roofing plants.
Asphalt storage tank components
Electric heating asphalt tank is mainly composed of tank body, rock wool insulation layer, electric heater, asphalt thermometer, asphalt temperature sensor, asphalt level gauge, pressure level sensor, top manhole, asphalt inlet and outlet, ladder guardrails, electric control box and so on.
Two options
option 1, electric heater heating thermal oil, avoiding asphalt aging by indirect heating.
option 2, electric heater heating asphalt directly, saving cost with lower price.
Features
Capacities
30 to 50 m3. Tanks are single or double compartments
Shell
Tank shell is Q235B 5mm thickness mild steel plate and is double butt-welded. Heads are flanged 8mm thickness mild steel plate and 100% welded inside and outside
Heating coils
Seamless steel tube DN50 thermal oil coils, thickness 3.5mm under standard GB/T8163
Insulation
Tank is insulated with 5mm high density rock wool
Skin
Tank is covered with natural finish, smooth 0.5 mm aluminum sheet or color tile
Manhole & Ladder
Two manholes, Tank is complete with internal and external ladders
Standard Asphalt Connections
Flange fill, draw and return connections, overflow and capped drain connections
Standard Hot Oil Connections
Hot oil supply and return connections are provided at both ends of tank. Heating tracing system are provided for connection to hot oil recirculating pump, asphalt pump and asphalt pipe lines.
