This Gr5 titanium forged ring is produced in materials covering Ti Gr2, Gr7, Gr12 and Gr16 to ASTM B381 / ASME SB381, with dimensions made to customer requests and drawings. Titanium forgings are used in aeroengines for compressor disks, blades, drums, high-pressure compressor rotors and compressor casings, and about 30% of the structural weight of a modern turbine engine is made of titanium alloy. Forging plus machining gives the required material structure and properties for main bearing components of aircraft skeletons and engine rotors.
