TiAl Titanium Aluminum Alloy Sputtering Target

This titanium aluminum alloy (TiAl) sputtering target is a lightweight PVD material with high purity, fine and uniform particle size and good formability. It is produced in several Ti/Al composition ratios and supplied in round shape with a polished surface, hot isostatically pressed and checked by ultrasonic testing. TiAl targets are mainly used to deposit hard, wear-resistant and biocompatible coatings for medical instruments, implants and cutting tools.

TiAl targets are used to coat surgical instruments, to build biocompatible layers for implants and prosthetics, and to make hard coatings for surgical cutting tools such as drills. The alloy is light, corrosion resistant and compatible with body tissue, so coatings made from it improve wear life and support better integration with bone tissue.
