Gr2 Gr5 Titanium Alloy Bar ASTM B348 Industrial
The Grade 2 and Grade 5 titanium alloy bar is a high strength, lightweight bar and round rod made to ASTM B348. Grade 5, also known as Ti-6Al-4V, is an alloy of about 90% titanium, 6% aluminium and 4% vanadium and is one of the most widely used titanium alloys. Its high specific strength allows light yet strong parts, while its mechanical properties closely match human bone and its protective oxide layer resists corrosion, so the bar suits aerospace, medical and chemical processing parts. The bar is supplied cold rolled or hot rolled in silver colour with a melting point of 1660 C and an elongation of 18%.
