Gr5 Gr9 Titanium Ball 12mm High Strength

These titanium balls are produced in Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) and Grade 9 as well as Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 23 and Ti-3Al-2.5V, with a titanium content of 99.6% minimum and impurity content below 0.02%. The 12 mm ball and other diameters are supplied with a density of 4.51 g/cm3 and a natural titanium colour, and Grade 5 gives a tensile strength of about 900 MPa (130,000 psi) together with excellent corrosion resistance, high wear resistance and non-magnetic behaviour.

Applications & Titanium Advantages

Titanium balls are used in bearings and precision assemblies, in jewellery and watchmaking, and as the sealing element in titanium ball valves, where Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) provides very high tensile strength together with excellent corrosion resistance in seawater, acids and chemical environments. Grade 5 is also biocompatible and non-toxic, so it suits medical implants and prosthetic components, and it keeps its integrity at temperatures up to 600 C (1100 F). The hard surface gives good wear resistance in high friction service, and the material is non-magnetic, which matters for precision medical devices and electronic components.
