ASME B381 Gr5 Titanium Tube Sheet Heat Exchanger

A titanium tube sheet is a drilled plate used in chemical vessels such as tubular heat exchangers, pressure vessels, steam boilers, condensers, evaporators and seawater desalination plants. Holes are drilled in a titanium plate with the same outside diameter as the tubes, and the tubes pass through and are welded in place. Because the hole spacing, tube diameter, perpendicularity and surface brightness all affect assembly, each sheet is machined to a precise tolerance. This customized tube sheet measures 1057 x 125 mm and is made from Gr1, Gr2, Gr5, Gr7 or Gr12 titanium; titanium gives it strong rigidity, good heat conduction and excellent corrosion resistance, and very large sheets of 4 m to 5 m or more in diameter are common.
