Hexagonal poultry netting also known a chicken wire, or hexagonal wire mesh, is a kind of mesh commonly used to fence poultry livestock, such as chickens, duck, goose in a run or coop. It is made of thin, flexible galvanizedsteel wire, stainless steel wire, PVC coated wire with hexagonal gaps.
Available in 1 inch (about 2.5 cm), 2 inch (about 5 cm) , 1/2 inch (about 1.3 cm) and 3/4 inch(about 2.0cm). Hexagonal poultry netting is available in various wire gauges, usually19 gauge (about 1 mm wire) to 22 gauge (about 0.7 mm wire).
In construction, chicken wire or hexagonal wire netting is used as a metal lath to hold cement or plaster, in a process known as stucco netting.
