High Density 90WNiFe Tungsten Heavy Alloy Fishing Weight For Fly Tying
High Density 90WNiFe Tungsten Alloy Fishing Weight For Fly Tying
Tungsten Alloy Fishing Weight is a kind of tungsten alloys, as they weigh more than twice as much as iron or steel. High specific gravity tungsten alloys are usually refractory metals with two-phase complexes consisting of W-Ni-Fe, W-Ni-Cu and even W-Ni-Cu-Fe. Rare earths and/or other metals such as cobalt, molybdenum and chromium are added to some tungsten alloys. Tungsten alloys have a very high melting point, are twice as dense as steel and more than 50 percent heavier than lead.

What is Tungsten Alloy Fishing Weight?
The heavy tungsten alloys are mainly divided into two series: W-Ni-Fe and W-Ni-Cu, and even W-Ni-Fe-Cu. In contrast, W-Ni-Fe alloy has better mechanical properties and plays a great role in various fields of defense industry and national economy. It is a very important new military material in national defense industry and has been gradually extended to various civil industries.
Tungsten heavy alloys contain 90% to 98% tungsten, which is responsible for their high density (16.5 to 19.00 g/cc). Nickel, iron and/or copper are used as metal binder bases to hold fragile tungsten particles together, making tungsten alloys strong and easy to work with. Ferric nickel Nickel is the most commonly used additive with a ratio of 7Ni:3Fe or 8Ni:2Fe (by weight).
Application of Tungsten Alloy Fishing Weight
Tungsten alloy fishing gear pendant is a kind of tungsten alloy material made of fishing gear. Tungsten alloy fishing pendant has high density, small volume and various shapes, suitable for various river sections. Tungsten alloy fishing pendant embodies the advantages different from other manufacturing materials.
- High density: the density of tungsten alloy can reach 18.5g/cm3, the volume is much smaller than other materials of the same mass.
- Corrosion resistance: tungsten alloy has stable chemical properties and does not react with any substance at room temperature.
- Fishing pendants are made of iron and oxidize easily when exposed to water for a long time.
- High hardness: Tungsten alloy is second only to diamond in hardness. It is difficult to avoid collision with hard objects during use. High hardness materials will make the fishing pendant resistant to breakage and deformation.
