Soft Annealing
Heat to 680-700^oC, cool slowly ib furnace. This will produce a maximum Brinell hardness of 207.

Normalizing
Normalizing temperature: 860-900^oC.

Hardening
Harden from a temperature of 850-880^oC followed by oil or water quenching. Hardness after quenching is 39-47 HRC.

Tempering
Tempering temperature: 595-700^oC.

Forging
Hot forming temperature: 1100-850^oC.
