Heat to 650-700^oC, cool slowly. This will produce a maximum Brinell hardness of 217.

Carburizing
880-980 ^oC, water, oil, air, hot quenching 150-250^oC or case hardening box.

Core hardening
Temperature: 860-900^oC.

Surface hardening
Tempertaure: 720-820^oC, oil, water or hot quenching.

Tempering
Tempering temperature: 150-200^oC.

Forging
Hot forming temperature: 1150-850^oC.
