DCL General-Series Actuators: Engineered for Longevity

DCL electric actuators are designed for high-precision operation of quarter-turn devices, including butterfly valves, ball valves, and dampers. The core transmission features a robust all-metal gearbox driven by a reversing motor, with a precision-engineered worm-gear set as the final stage.

Recognizing that the final-stage gear is the most vulnerable component due to concentrated torque and friction, DCL has optimized longevity through two critical innovations:

• High-Strength Monolithic Bronze Alloy: Unlike standard gears that are merely surface-plated, DCL uses a solid, cast copper-alloy (bronze) worm wheel. This eliminates the risk of plating delamination and ensures superior wear resistance and stable frictional performance over millions of cycles.

• Enhanced Radius (Long-Arm) Geometry: By increasing the effective radius of the worm wheel, DCL reduces the radial force exerted on individual gear teeth for any given torque. This lower tooth-stress design significantly minimizes fatigue and mechanical wear.

The synergy of our large-diameter bronze wheel and a precision-hardened worm shaft delivers a durable, low-noise, and maintenance-free transmission system that far outlasts conventional alternatives.
