Description

DCL compact electric actuators are widely applied in HVAC systems, especially in combination with butterfly valves. In modern building automation systems (BAS), they are commonly used to precisely control indoor temperature, air volume, water flow, condensate discharge, and hydraulic balancing.

During installation and commissioning, opening the actuator cover for wiring and adjustment is sometimes unavoidable. In humid environments or regions with significant day-night temperature differences, condensation can easily form inside the actuator housing. Therefore, a thermostatically controlled anti-condensation heater is essential to ensure long-term operational reliability.

DCL’s patented one-way breathing apparatus provides an advanced solution to condensation risk. It allows internal moisture vapor to escape outward while preventing external moisture from entering. Even after the heater is powered off, repeated condensation is effectively avoided. This innovative design ensures comprehensive protection of the actuator’s internal components and significantly enhances durability and service life.
