Factory Multimode MM 62.5/125um 650nm 50/50 Coupler Fiber Optic Splitter
Fused Biconic Taper (FBT) coupler, also called FBT splitter, utilizes traditional technology where two or more optical fibers are bundled together and pulled through a cone machine for melt stretching. The ratio change is monitored in real-time during the process. After melt stretching to meet spectral ratio requirements, one side retains a single fiber (with the remainder cut) as input, while the other end provides multi-channel output.
As a key component for GPON FTTx networks, optical splitters can be deployed in Central Offices or various distribution points (outdoor or indoor). FBT couplers offer high stability for multiport optical signal splitting with low insertion loss. These couplers are designed for power splitting and tapping in telecommunication equipment, CATV networks, and test equipment.
