Molybdenum has good thermal conductivity, conductivity and low expansion coefficient. It has high strength at high temperature (1100 ~ 1650 ℃). Compared with tungsten, it is easy to process. Therefore, it is applied in high-temperature furnaces, electronic tubes, electric light sources, metal processing tool manufacturing departments and aerospace industry. Molybdenum can resist the corrosion of molten glass, and its oxide will not pollute the glass. Molybdenum has been used as heating electrode in glass industry and sputtering palladium material for coating of solar cells and flat panel displays.
