Introduction of Tungsten Heavy Alloy:

 

Tungsten heavy alloys are mainly divided into two series: W-Ni-Fe (magnetic) and W-Ni-Cu (non-magnetic). They adopt isostatic pressing technology and extrusion, molding and injection molding technology to produce tungsten based high specific gravity products of various types and specifications.

Tungsten nickel iron alloy is an alloy based on tungsten (about 90~98%) and added with nickel, iron, copper or other components, with a specific gravity of 17.0~18.5. Tungsten nickel iron alloy is an important tungsten based heavy alloy


Tungsten heavy alloy applications:

Tungsten nickel iron alloy is widely used and has become the main tungsten based heavy alloy with a large amount. As general applications, such as counterweights, counterweights, shielding devices, etc., sintered alloys are directly used; However, as an application requiring high mechanical properties, tungsten nickel iron alloy needs deformation processing and heat treatment to achieve strengthening.

 

Tungsten nickel iron alloy is mainly used to manufacture gyroscope rotors, guiding devices and shock absorption devices for aerospace and spacecraft; Die casting dies, tool holders, boring bars and automatic watch hammers for machine manufacturing; Pits for conventional weapons, rivets and switch contacts for electrical products; In addition, it is also used to manufacture various radiation shielding parts.


Properties of tungsten heavy alloy:

Tungsten nickel iron alloy is characterized by high sintering density, good strength and plasticity, and ferromagnetism. It has good plasticity and machinability, good thermal conductivity and conductivity γ X-ray or X-ray has good absorption capacity.

 

Specific gravity: the general specific gravity is 16.5-18.75g/cm3;

High strength: tensile strength is 700-1000mpa;

Strong ray absorption capacity: 30-40% higher than lead;

High thermal conductivity: the thermal conductivity of tungsten alloy is 5 times that of die steel;

Small coefficient of thermal expansion: only 1/2-1/3 of iron or steel;

Good conductivity; Because of its good conductivity, it is widely used in lighting and welding industries;

It has good weldability and machinability.
