Tension Bands are used to connect chain link fabric to terminal posts, gate frames, and fence panels. They hold the stretched fabric, and tension bar, in place with a carriage bolt. Each post (or framework) will have multiple tension bars, depending on the height; typically tension bands are spaced every 12 inches, but may be spread out to every 18 inches. Use one less tension band than the height of your fence, in feet. So, for example, a 6' tall fence would require 5 tension bands, and so on. These bands are hot-dip galvanized to protect against rust.
In general beveled tension bands are mostly used on commercial chain link fences, while flat bands are used on residential grade chain link fences. Beveled bands are manufactured from a heavier gauge steel and feature a thicker galvanized coating, so they are stronger and longer lasting than flat bands.

Where is it installed tension bands?
1-5/8” tension band is installed by sliding over the 1-5/8” terminal post once the post is set.
Tension bands will be evenly placed on each terminal post.
