Wire Tensioning Winders Basic Information

50mm Galvanised ferrule winders used with chain link fencing when tensioning the line wire. Ferrule winders are an alternative way of tensioning the wire instead of using folded eye bolts.

1. The tensioner is a barrel winder. It is bolted onto the post, the line wire is then fed through a hole on the barrel. You then use a spanner to turn the barrel, and as the line wire wraps around the barrel it tensions the wire.
2. It is not a separate ratchet tool for tensioning the wire, it is a fitting to be fixed onto the post.
3. It used in chain link fence, wire fencing, vineyard trellis,barbed wire, euro fence, filed fence and so on, to tie the wire at corner or end post.
