Description: The star seal ring, also known as the X-shaped seal ring,

can be installed to reduce friction in the special low compression ratio of the groove,

but also can be used in the same specification of the O-ring groove.

X-shaped sealing ring has lower friction force, can better overcome torsion, and obtain better lubrication;

It can be used as a moving seal at a lower speed and is also suitable for static sealing.

Application: 

Used to seal the reciprocating piston/piston rod/plunger.

Shaft or mandrel for sealing swing/rotation or spiral motion.

Static sealing, reciprocating motion sealing, rotary motion sealing.

Operating temperature range: -30 degrees Celsius to 250 degrees Celsius

Features:

1. Compared with the O-ring, the X-shaped sealing ring forms a lubricating cavity between the sealing lips,

which has a smaller frictional resistance and starting resistance.
2. Since its flashing position is in the recess of the cross section, the sealing effect is good.
3. Non-circular cross section to avoid rolling during reciprocating motion.

Dynamic seal: Reciprocating movement: 5 Mpa max, without retaining ring.

30 Mpa max, used together with the retaining ring.

Rotational movement: 5 Mpa max, used together with the retaining ring.

Static sealing: 5Mpa max, without retaining ring. 40 Mpa max is used together with the retaining ring.
