Product Description
This disposable viral transport media specimen collection kit is designed for sampling and transporting clinical specimens for COVID-19, avian influenza, influenza, hand-foot-and-mouth disease, and other respiratory and intestinal viruses from patients' nose and throat areas.
Intended Use
For collection and sampling of clinical specimens. Not intended for microbial identification and drug sensitivity testing.

Sample Handling Requirements
Transfer specimens to the laboratory within 2 working days after collection. Store at 2-8°C during transport. If unable to send within 48 hours, store at -70°C or below and ensure delivery within one week. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Instructions for Use
Collect samples with sampling swab according to sampling requirements
After collection, place sampling swab into sterile sampling tube
Break swab at the truncation point on swab rod
Discard the tail portion and secure the lid
Apply necessary labeling to the collection tube
Collection Procedures
Nasal Swab: Hold patient's chin with left hand, gently insert sterile swab into nasopalatine inside nasal passage with right hand. After brief pause, slowly rotate swab 3-5 circles and withdraw. Use separate swab for other nasopalatine. Immerse swab head into sampling solution and squeeze several times. Break swab tail with force and discard.
Throat Swab: Press tongue down with spatula. Wipe bilateral pharyngeal tonsils and posterior pharyngeal wall with sterile swab. Immerse swab head into sampling solution and squeeze several times. Break swab tail with force and discard. Note: Nasal and throat swabs can be collected in a single collection tube.
