3/8" INCONEL 625 hydraulic control line (coiled tube) is an austenitic super alloy with nickel as the main component. Due to the strengthening effect of molybdenum and niobium solid solutions contained in nickel-chromium alloy, it has ultra-high strength and special anti-fatigue properties from low temperature to 1093℃, and is widely used in oil & gas industry.
Although the alloy is designed to adapt to the high-temperature environment, the high content of chromium and molybdenum in the alloy has a high anti-corrosion spot and anti-fission corrosion capability for many corrosion media, from the high oxidation environment to the general corrosion environment, showing excellent corrosion resistance characteristics. INCONEL 625 also has strong corrosion resistance to chlorinated media such as sea water, geothermal water, neutral salts, and salt water. The corrosion resistance of INCONEL 625 is even comparable to that of secondary titanium and hastellian alloy C-276 through geothermal brine tests and simulated gas desulfurization environment tests.
In addition, the alloy has high formability and is easier to weld than many nickel-based alloys. The alloy is resistant to intercrystalline corrosion even when welded. It has good tensile and fatigue properties from low temperature to 980℃, and is resistant to stress corrosion under salt spray atmosphere.
