Inconel 625 is a main component of nickel austenitic superalloys. Since the nickel-chromium alloy contains molybdenum and niobium in solid solution with enhanced effect, thus from low to high tensile strength of 1093 ℃, and exceptional fatigue resistance, it has been widely used in the oil and gas industry.
Although this alloy was designed for high temperature, but a high content of chromium and molybdenum in the alloy, from a high oxidizing environment for the environment in general more corrosion media, have a high anti-corrosion and fission point corrosion. Corrosive environment, exhibit excellent corrosion resistance properties. INCONEL 625 also has strong corrosion resistance to chlorinated media such as sea water, geothermal water, neutral salt and brine. Through the geothermal salt water test and the simulated gas desulfurization environment test, the corrosion resistance of INCONEL 625 is even comparable to the second grade titanium and Hastelloy C-276.
In addition, the alloy has high formability and is easier to weld than many nickel-based alloys. The alloy is resistant to intercrystalline corrosion even when welded. It has good tensile and fatigue properties from low temperature to 980℃, and is resistant to stress corrosion under salt spray atmosphere.
